Eight Months...really!?!?!?!

The past two months, since our last blog post, have been pretty eventful.
 - Tony's Dad helped us pick up the hot tub from Camp and Sons.  It's currently living in Gregg's warehouse in Cloverdale.  We'll be doing some repairs before bringing it to our place.
 - Otis now has two teeth, the front bottom.
 - We did our first attempt at sleep training.  It didn't go very well, we'll be trying again this weekend.
 -  Otis isn't crawling quite yet.  He can scoot backwards and roll from side to side, which means he can get just about wherever he wants around the living room, until he get his legs wedged underneath the couch.  He then gets upset because he can't go forward.
 - Otis is sitting up on his own pretty well now and just started clapping last night.

On June 26th, Otis and I went to Ashley's (Tony's cousin) baby shower.

Adventures in feeding...

Here's a video of Tony feeding Otis:

Gramma Marsha and Grandpa Randy bought this swing for Otis, he LOVES it!!!!

On July 8th, we went wine tasting with Jane and Logan.

Otis enjoys looking at the world upside down.

Gotta love a sleeping baby.

I don't remember what we were feeding him here, but he was not impressed.
Here's video of this particular meal:

On July 20th, we went over to Nana Debbie's house for a visit.

On July 22nd, we went to the Union Hotel to celebrate Noni Bev's birthday.

More good times in the swing...
Here's a video of Otis in his swing, with Noni Bev:

I signed Otis and I up for four weeks (Tuesdays and Thursdays) of swim classes, the first one was July 19th.  Xochitl and Sabina go too.  Otis is the youngest one in the class.  Ages range from Otis (now 8 months) to three years.  We four are the newbies.  The rest of the children in the class have been going for awhile.  On July 26th, before Tony and Logan headed off to Man Camp, Tony went to swim class with us.  Otis has a blast in the water.  I wonder if it's helpful that he was born in the water.
Here's a video of Tony and Otis in swim class:

On July 28th, Tony and Logan headed off to Man Camp for three days.  I was solely responsible for Otis for three full days.  I'm alone with Otis a lot, so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but it was.  Those were three very challenging days, especially because Otis' second tooth was starting to cut through and he was much fussier than normal.

We can only use the bumbo for meals now, with the tray attached.  Otis has figured out how to arch his back and twist out of it.  It's been a little on the dangerous side a couple of times.

On August 6th, Otis and I went over to Gerry and Laurel's house to celebrate Alice's 2nd birthday.

Summer has been jam packed with good times so far with many more on the horizon.  Tony and I celebrate our seven year wedding anniversary on August 21st and Plunge the weekend of September 10th.
